In the prequels, each episode has a major battle scene,e.g ep:2 Anikin+Obi v.s Dooku and then Yoda v.s Dooku. Who do you think fought the most courageously in any of these battles and why.

I think that Obi wan is probably the best Jedi Master, probably because he is so often pushed into circumstances where he has to battle some serious foes and ends up wasting em'. Like when he smashed grievous in ep:3 and finished Maul in ep:1 and then dooku twice in ep:2 and 3 and finally Anikin and Vader in ep:3 and 4.

Elan Sleazebaggano: I don't want to sell you death sticks.
Obi-Wan: You want to go home and rethink your life.

Master yoda hands down! He's not only strong in the force but he can manipulate his enemy by making them believe his too small, old and weak. Nonetheless he can make his enemies run away, he made Dukoo run away by distracting yoda with falling rocks in ep 2, and in ep3 sidious during there confrentation theres a moment where sidious tries to get away and yoda says"If so powerfull you are why live?"

Yoda! He's the strongest of all jedi! He just jumps around in lightsaber battles, it's hardly possible to hit him! I don't think Obi-wan could defeat Yoda (not that he would ever want to...)

Lol m_p. I think each one had to fight courageously so they wouldn't end up dead. They each had to really concentrate hard and know where their opponent would be next, so in saying that I would have to chose Obi-Wan. It must've been really hard to fight Anakin and they knew each other so well that they probably knew each other moves so they had to come up with new ones. Plus the fact that he has to put aside his emotions as they felt like brothers.

--------------------
Let's start at the top shall we? The Sith Wars, Palpatine's Empire, Thrawn's siege, Vong invasion, Second Galactic Civil War, I could go on. Point is the enemy hasn't vanished and we're fighting new people/aliens/species every day.

This has always been a Force War and we, as non-Jedi, will still help rid the universe of their evil. That's on one side of the galaxy, on the other our friends: Luke, Han, Leia, Wedge, Iella, Corran, Mirax, etc are still trying to keep the peace. They've thwarted Abeltoth, but others will soon come their way...and ours.

We shall meet these enemies on both sides of the galaxy head on to defeat them. And when we do meet them, it'll be with the same determination, hope, and perseverance all of us have always shown.

None of this is easy as people/aliens/pets/animals are injured or die every day. But to keep the galaxy safe, we'll do all we can to win, for both sides of the galaxy. To ensure peace, we will keep fighting.

Wish us luck, wish us the Force, and pray for us as we'll need it going up against these formidable foes.

(Have been playing SW for over 17yrs--as of 2014--and I also follow the books. I will continue this role playing until I no longer can.) Also I just wanted to thank all who answered my threads and have chatted with me throughout the years; all of you are fun, awesome, caring, friendly, smart, (etc) and are my good/best friends. I will miss talking to you.

The Strongest was ANAKIN SKYWALKER!

the highest count of midichlorians that beat yodas
he beat yoda in his mind
and he brought balance to the force.
if yoda is as strong as you all say would he have not taken down vader? nope
Anakin is the strongest not this mechanical vader

But Obi-Wan won his fight against Anakin, didn't he? This means he's much better than Anakin...

Strength in the force does not make one a great master or jedi.
If that strength is not tempered with wisdom, knowledge and experience its all but useless.

Here are my reasons why Obi-Wan is the best

1. He was the first Jedi to face and kill a Sith in 1000 years
2. He raised Anakin the chosen one as a Jedi and no one could have done a better job Yoda said to Obi-Wan in the clone wars volume 5 comic
3. He was constantly in the front at the clone wars and in the most dangerous missions
4. He found out about the clone army
5. The only Jedi to face Dooku on more than one occasion
6. In ROTS he did what he had to do with Anakin even though he wanted to face Palpatine
7. Faced 3 different siths Darth maul, Tyrannus, and Vader
8. Looked over Luke and put him on the path to the Force
9. Sacrificed himself to free the Millennium falcon from the Death Star.

Plus there are so many other reasons in the EU that prove that Obi-wan is the greatest Jedi of all time.

I'd say that Luke Skywalker is the greatest Jedi Master of all time, in my own personal view.

- He began his training at a VERY old age compared to almost any other Jedi in the past.

- He faced a SITH in Darth Vader with almost NO training at all, and he survived.

- He faced and defeated Vader, STILL with almost no training at all, and then had the honor to refuse to strike him down in cold blood as per Palpatine's command.

- He was the only Jedi left in the ENTIRE galaxy and rebuilt the whole Jedi Order by himself, from scratch (Having still had very little actual Jedi training)

- Helped turn the tide in several full-scale galactic wars (Rebellion vs. the Empire, New Republic vs. the Imperial Remnant, New Republic vs. Yuuzhan Vong, Galactic Alliance vs. the Killik hive mind, the civil war between the Galactic Alliance/Corellian Rebellion).

- He basically helped form the New Republic and has been a galactic leader for decades.

Edit: Oops, forgot this was the Prequel forum, err, with all of that being said, Obi-Wan was definitely the greatest Prequel Jedi in my opinion.
He's the only Jedi to actually defeat a Sith and live to tell about it, other than Anakin.
He killed Darth Maul.
He killed Grievous.
He defeated Anakin.

Buuuut, at the same time, there are a few things going against Obi-wan, too, the biggest being the fact that he allowed his apprentice to be mentored by the Sith Master Chancellor for a decade, right under his own nose.
