As you no doubt have noticed; the forum has a new, rotating title graphic!

The image (or images, as the case may be) is randomized so that every time you load a new page it will look different.

Spiffy eh?

The theme for the title is Tatooine, so that's why you'll only see characters that actually were on Tatooine to the left. To the right is the ever popular "Did you know?" feature, that's also available on the main site.
(It's been updated with a couple of new images and trivia from the movies.)

I know that slow connections are an issue for many. So I have gone to great lengths to keep the image sizes down so that it won't slow the forum down. Every image combination is smaller than a member avatar, so that should be okay.
(Please let me know if you are having problems and I'll look into it!)

Tonedeaf: That's good! I was affraid that it would be too much a distraction and an annoyance. You and others not even noticing the change at first is a good sign. One should be free to ignore it.

All: I haven't tested the new design with an array of different browsers and operating systems, like I usually do. Had to code everything from memory since I don't have access to a good testing environment at the moment.

If you use Netscape, Opera or another obscure browser or if you're a Mac, Linux user; could you please check this image and see if what you're seeing in your browser corresponds to it? Thanks!!!

I keep getting distracted by the changing pictures and "Did You know"'s... Nice change, though.

On one of hte "Did You Know" things, btw, there's a typo: It's the one about stormtrooper's helmets and serial numbers...it says Helpmets. Just so ya know.

Here is a small problem with Netscape.

It looks like Netscape adds a little one-pixel border between the two images and thus extends them, and then adds some scrallers....

Netscape does that a lot. Maybe you can set the borders to -1 to make even annoying old browsers like Netscape, that no one else uses show the images correctly

I found the culprit and fixed it. The space between the pics should be gone.

The question now is the scrollbars which aren't supposed to show up. It's a simple style sheet thing. There are two ways to do the same thing. One causes space to appear in Netscape and one doesn't. I never seem to remember which one is which.

Another update: Pick a gender in your profile

I've just finished updating our profiles with a little bit of extra information. When you register from now on, you will be asked if you are male or female (you can pick "Not telling" if you for some reason don't want to share).

Old members can update their information in My Controls -> Edit Profile Info.

This question, as well as what country you are from is now required information. Hopefully it will make wondering about a member's gender and origin a thing of the past.

PS. Thanks to Jaina for urging me to do something about this, at long last.

Anyway, I decided to make a little symbol visible next to the country flag.

I didn't want to do that at first because I figured we had enough stuff under our names already. It would get (even more) cluttered. But then I thought the better of it. I can always remove it later if we get tired of seeing them all over the place.

I study in an University now

I entered what I wanted and it's fun here. I study (and live) in a new place - the capital of Bulgaria (yay) and I have so mnany new friends.

Though what we study is really hard and I don't really think I can manage it..

Of course I don't have daily internet and come to bh very very rarely.
But that can change soon.


Tonight I am going home (I live some 6 hours with a bus away from home) for the hollidays and maybe I'll come to bh more often to chat and post
