about Nottingham?

My brother is moving there and I'm just real curious about the place smile.gif
Of course I am already familiar with the legend of Robin Hood wink.gif smilehuge.gif
I've also read a little about the city on tourism homepages

But what's your opinion and experience of the city?

I've never been myself, but I hear it's a great city, as is Leeds and *cough* Manchester, but my brother went there a few weeks back for a bowling tournament and he said he loved the city... though I doubt he spent much time in anywhere but the bowling alley. confusedsmall.gif If you want some info, try the Nottingham City website. winksmall.gif

Nice place, I went there last month (I should been going there frequently, since is just half an hour from my University by train). Nice place, the Castle is nice, but not that impressive. The place is embebed with the Robin Hood lore and since is full of shops, some of the guys at my office called it "Shoppingham". You will even find tons of SW memorabiblia. And is quiet cheap compared to other cities and also clean. The only downside, from what i have been told from people that lives there is that is a little bit insecure (mugs and some street fights).

I like the city, but if you are expecting something with a lot of medieval stuff, the better go to Edinburgh, Notthingham is quite modern in that sense.

And what you can tell me about Cambridge? London. I'm interested.

London's really hot (but pleasent) in the summer and the shops are good all year round. It's also really packed due to all the shops and works. I've only been to London once, and I enjoyed it.
