Hey, i was just wondrering how many people out there have tried to make their own lightsaber hilt...

Anyone here gave it a shot.

I've made several (most pretty simple and basic) but I am no where near the movie quality.

In fact ne of my best ones was made out of an old microphone and that I slightly "modified" to look the part. smilehuge.gif

Hm... never seen those make your won lightsaber ktis. Are they plastic or actual metal that look real?

I'm trying to find some that look real because me and my brothers are wanting to do a starwars fan film... so we dont' want to use the cheep plastic ones that you get at walmart that are like 2 times too big!

Building the lightsabre hilt is a lot of fun if you have access to various plumbing parts and accessories. Unfortunately, it can be hard getting hold of parts you can spare in the first place and of course, you can't cut limbs off with a piece of plumbing!

*nods* Yeah, building the hilt is a lot of fun and plumbing parts are great for that. Local hardware stroes and/or lumber yards often have that type of stuff. Brass looks really good but it can get a bit expensive.

and yes... the largest down-side... you can't cut limbs off with pluming.. tounge.gif haha
